Stop Press!
It is with regret that Woven Wheat Whispers has now stopped trading and therefore the link has now been removed. Mark Coyle did an excellent job in promoting folk artistes and their music and this site will be sadly missed. Please contact me directly for any of my songs.
Many thanks.

Friends Shirley and Charlie introduced me to one of Tia's albums prior to them arriving for their annual visit to Hebden Bridge and then we met Tommy and Tia for the first time on Sunday 8th July 07. Maggie and myself had a most enjoyable musical evening of country meets folk and I hope they remain friends for a very long time. Tommy is an excellent guitar player and when Tia sings she has a voice that stops people in their tracks to listen. Their individual and joint song writing is also one of their strengths and I think I will have to learn and sing some of their songs. Tia has just released a new album called A Day In My Shoes and it has some cracking songs on it. I wish them all the best for the future and hope fortune shines on them both and I'm looking forward to a get together next year already!

Here's a great site from an old acquaintance from my early days around the folk scene and as a further surprise Mally knew Dave Kershaw who I used to go to school with! If you're out there Dave K. be nice to hear from you.
Mally runs an online traditional music store but his site is much more than that so please spend a bit of time browsing around his site. Publishing traditional music, song and dance books, often with accompanying soundtrack, is the cornerstone of Mally's online store.

Folking.com - The Home of Folk and Acoustic Music
Another great folky website. Lots of info and links to other artists as well as listings for up and coming gigs and concerts.

Now why a link to travel site I hear you ask? Quite simply the site has been set up recently by Mark & Jo who are good friends. Mark has been playing and singing folk music for some years now at local sessions and when Mark's at a session I'm guaranteed a good time (musically!). This is a new venture for them both even though they have a wealth of info and have both worked in the travel industry and I wish them the best of luck with their site.

A great informative web site for folkies and well worth a visit for a guide to the folk and acoustic scene, with information about UK folk gigs, folk concerts, folk festivals and hundreds of links!
